Aquatic COVID-19 Protocol

Swim Covid-19 Policies

According to the CDC, there is currently no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through water in pools.  To ensure a safe environment around our pools please adhere to the following protocols at Cedarland Aquatic Center host to all junior and adult aquatic programs.

  • Since a good percentage of our patroins are under the age eligible to be vaccinated, we are requiring that all patrions, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask in the building, locker rooms and in the bubble while waiting for your class to start/viewing classes. While taking part in a swim lesson, clinic or class a mask is not required.
  • All participants are asked to arrive no more than 15 minutes before the start of a lesson, program or class and depart the facility within 15 minutes of completion of the lesson, program or class.
  • Registration is required for all classes/programs.  All members must scan in at the reception desk.
  • Adult Swim workout and Water Aerobics require registration.Registration starts 24 hours in advance of class/workout. Members only.
  • Please continue to do your best to follow social distancing guidelines.  This applies to deck areas, bathrooms, locker rooms, and wading areas. No one should congregate in the water, locker rooms or on the pool deck. Please be respectful of the space of other patrions.
  • After your lesson/program you must exit the pool.
  • While locker room use is not limited, we strongly encourage all swimmers come dressed in your bathing suit under your clothes to limit the number of patrons in the locker rooms. Showers will be available for a cleansing shower prior to using the pool.  Restrooms will be available for use.
  •  We will be providing swim lesson equipment (boards/noodles/back bricks/arm bands) for swim lesson use only. Please remove immediately upon exiting the class.  Please remember we do not allow Puddlejumpers or lifejackets in our facilities.
  • Swim Team participants need to bring their own filled water bottle. Water fountains are still not operational for the protection of our youngest patrons.
  • When entering the facility, please keep 6’ physical distance throughout the Aquatic Center in route to the pool. Masks are required by all.
  •  We encourage all participants to practice good hygiene and hand cleanliness.  Please use your elbow or tissue to cover all coughs and sneezes.  Please use hand sanitizer and wash hands frequently with soap and water.
  • A First Aid kit will be available at the front desk and in the bubble.
  • Swim instructors are encouraged to distance swimmers when possible.  However, swim lessons often require contact.  Prolonged close contact should be minimzed to the extent it is possible and safe to do so.
  • Swim lesson equipment will be sanitized at the completion of lessons each day.
  • Please do not come to the facility if you are experiencing any symptoms (sore throat, fever, cough, headaches, etc)  or you have been in contact with someone suspected of having Covid-19.
